Hello! I'm a postdoc at the University of Oxford, where I study atmospheric boundary layer and wind farm flows.
Before that, I used to work at DTU Wind and Energy Systems.
2025/08/20: Gave a presentation at our weekly group meeting in Oxford about my work from the KTH spring trip.
2025/07/21-25: Participated in the GPU summer school at the Mathematics Institute, University of Oxford. GPUs are super powerful, but writing software for them is quite different from writing tradtional CPU software.
2025/06/10-12: Participated in the Wake Conference at Visby, Gotland.
2025/05/22: Participated in the ERCOFTAC spring festival, which was held at KTH.
2025/04/2-06/9: Visit to KTH. Worked on EARSM.
2025/04/1: Preprint for new paper on 2D RANS simulations of wind farm flows is now available.
2025/03/11: Released actuatorDiskFoam, which is a simple actuator disk model for OpenFOAM.
2025/02/5: Short visit to the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge.
2024/12/6: Short visit to the Fluid Dynamics group at TU Darmstadt.
2024/11/26: Passed the final assignment in the Animate your Science course. Have learnt a great deal about 3D animation with Blender and can thoroughly recommend the course to other researchers.
2024/10/28-31: Participated in a wind farm modelling masterclass at the University of Manchester. Also watched a Man Utd game at Old Trafford!
2024/08/26-09/13: Visited KTH, where I worked on implementing a consistent wall BC for atmospheric RANS simulations. Results from the first week presented to the group at KTH.
2024/07/31: Gave an introduction to EARS models at our weekly group meeting at Oxford.
2024/07/14-21: Participated in the CFDPARSCHOOL in L'Aquila, Italy. A lot of interesting people and talks!
2024/06/11: After a long battle with getting a UK visa, I finally arrived in Oxford today! Tomorrow I will visit the Department of Engineering Science for the first time.
2024/05/30: Attended Torque2024 in Florence, Italy, where I presented a poster about URANS simulation of CNBLs (full article).
2024/01/18: Submitted a paper to the TORQUE 2024 conference about URANS modelling of the conventionally neutral boundary layer.
2023/12/20: My last day as employee at DTU Wind. It was a wierd feeling to drive out of the gates of Risø on this day, but hopefully I can return some time in the future.
2023/12/15: Received a grant letter from the Carlsberg Foundation - I have been awarded their two-year postdoctoral fellowship grant to the University of Oxford!
2023/11/18: Attended DTUs PhD graduation ceremony. Here is a picture of all DTU Wind PhD graduates from the past year (I am second from left in the lower row).
2023/06/20: Attended the Wake Conference in Visby, Sweden. Presented about PDBLs in RANS simulations (paper).
2023/05/23: Attended WESC2023 in Glasgow, Scotland, where I gave a short presentation about EARSM.
2023/02/24: Our brief communication about wake recovery mechanism has been published in WES.
2023/02/07: Submitted an article to the Wake Conference 2023 entitled "RANS simulation of a wind turbine wake in the neutral atmospheric pressure-driven boundary layer".
2022/11/17: Defended my phd (presentation)! Thanks to the committee for making it a memorable and enjoyable day.
2022/10/10: The EARSM article has now been accepted and published in WES.
2022/08/31: Handed in my phd thesis!
2022/06/07: Preprint about EARSM for wind turbine wake application is now available on WES.
2019/07/15: Defended my master thesis (presentation)!
